The 59fifties

When it comes to premium caps for sports and
fashion, the new era caps are always on the top of our heads.
Started as a company that manufactured "newsboy" caps in the
1920s, the new era caps are now the premier cap worn by every
Major League Baseball team and their minor league affiliates,
and maintains agreements with other licensed entities including
NHL, NBA and over 200 colleges and universities in the United
States.
Among of new era's collection of caps is the 59Fifties. 59Fifty
is a brand of hats made by the new Era Cap Company based in
Buffalo, New York. They are often referred to as "Fitted Hats"
or "Brooklyn Style Caps". They have become increasingly
fashionable in urban centers and within the Hip-Hop
culture.
They come in 9 different sizes that range from 7 inches to 8
inches. The average price is roughly $32.99 (American Dollars)
except when purchased at a Flagship store where they tend to be
less expensive. The caps are available in not only every Major
and Minor league baseball team in an assortment of colors, but
in NHL and some NBA. The cap is also available with assorted
city names and Marvel character designs on them.
In March 2007, new Era changed the design of their 59Fifty hats
significantly. The hats are now made of 100% performance
polyester, which still has a wool feel and look to it, but has
been described as softer, more durable, lighter, and fit more
comfortably than the old versions. The crowns are also said to
not be as "box-shaped" as the older style.
Replacing the gray underbill is a new black colored underbill,
which was made to help reduce glare. The sweatbands have been
changed from white to black, in order to make sweat stains less
evident. The brims are also said to have become sturdier and do
not bend as easily as the older style.
Since new era's change in design in 2007, the overall reviews
of the hat have been positive. They are said to fit better,
feel more comfortable, and overall are more asthetically
pleasing than the previous hats.
Along with the 59Fifty, new Era produces styles like the
49Forty, 39Thirty, 29Twenty, EK, Capture the Flag, and also
designs women's and kids' caps.
